Bei meinem letzten Besuch in Tokyo habe ich eine Glutenfree Food Tour mit der wunderbaren und lieben Gizem von Foodie Adventure Japan gemacht. Da mein Hotel in Asakusa war und wir auch den Vormittag dort verbringen wollten, holte mich Gizem im Hotel ab. Vom ersten Moment an, habe ich mich total wohl bei ihr gefühlt. Unser erster Stopp war eine wunderbare Aussichtplattform, von der wir auf den Schrein und die Einkaufstraße davor blicken konnte. Gizem hat mir sehr viel über Asakusa erzählt und auch Dinge, die mir nie aufgefallen wären. Ich sag nur Bier 😉
On my last visit to Tokyo I did a gluten free food tour with the wonderful and lovely Gaizem from Foodie Adventure Japan. My hotel was in Asakusa and we also wanted to spend the morning there, Gizem picked me up at the hotel. From the first moment, I felt in good hands. Our first stop was a wonderful viewing platform from which we could see the Asakusa shrine and the shopping street in front of it. Gizem told me a lot about Asakusa and also things that I would never have noticed. I only say beer 😉
Asakusa ist eigentlich der Ortsteil von Tokyo den ich am besten kenne, aber Gizem hat mir an diesem Vormittag so viel Neues gezeigt. Es waren auch einige Insidertipps dabei. Wir haben uns durch die Süßigkeiten probiert und da ich nur glutenfree essen darf, war es so hilfreich jemanden zu haben, der mir sagt was ich essen darf und was nicht. Mir wären ohne Gizems Erklärungen so viele Leckereien entgangen. Sie hat mir „leider“ auch eine Süßigkeit gezeigt nach der ich total süchtig bin. Nach diesem Tag bin ich jeden Tag zu diesem Stand gegangen und hab mir eine Portion geholt. Auch habe ich durch diese Tour eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Tokyo kennengelernt, wo ich genau weiß es schmeckt und es ist glutenfree.
Asakusa is actually the part of Tokyo that I know best, but Gizem showed me so many new things this morning. There were also some insider tips. We tried the candy and since I’m only allowed to eat gluten free, it was so helpful to have someone tell me what to eat and what not to eat. I would have missed so many goodies without Gizem’s explanations. “Unfortunately” she also showed me a candy that I am totally addicted to. After that day I went to this booth every day and got a portion. Through this tour I also got to know one of my favorite restaurants in Tokyo, where I know exactly what it tastes like and it is gluten-free.
Bevor wir Asakusa verlassen haben, haben wir am Schrein gebetet und Gizem hat mir genau erklärt, wie ich mich vorbereite und auch wie ich dort bete. Mal sehen, vielleicht geht mein Wunsch ja in Erfüllung

Dieser Vormittag war schon ein totales Highlight für mich, aber der Tag ging ja noch weiter. Von Asakusa sind wir mit dem Boot runter zu Team Borderless gefahren. Die Fahrt war wirklich mehr als entspannend und wir haben uns mehr als gut unterhalten können. Und auch dort hat Gizem mir alles erklärt, an welchen Gebäuden usw. wir vorbei fuhren.

The trip was really relaxing and we had long and meaningful discussions. On our Journey Gizem explained everything, for example which buildings we just passed.
Nach einem kurzen Abstecher zu Starbucks und dem Bestaunen der Freiheitsstatur und dem riesigen Gundem ging es auch direkt zu Team Lab Borderless. Leute wenn ihr in Tokyo seid ist dies definitiv ein Muss. Im Teamlab Boderless sind wir direkt ins Tee House dort und haben uns jeweils einen Tee und ein Eis bestellt und uns diese wunderbaren Lichteffekte angeschaut. Danach haben wir uns die verschiedenen Räume angeschaut und eine Menge Spaß dabei gehabt. Für mich war der ganze Tag mit Gizem ein wirkliches Erlebnis. Ich hatte schon ein paar Touren mit Guides durch Tokyo, aber keine konnte der Tour von Foodie Adventure Japan das Wasser reichen. Es war als wärst du mit einer Freundin unterwegs und hast einfach Spaß und erfährst eine Menge über Tokyo, anstatt mit einem Guide wo das Zwischenmenschliche fehlt und der dir einfach nur Fakten erzählt. Gizem ist einfach so toll in ihrem Job, dass es wirklich wie ein Tag mit einer guten Freundin ist. Man hat einfach Mega viel Spaß mit ihr und ich kann wirklich jedem empfehlen eine Tour bei ihr zu buch
Egal ob eine normale Foodtour, eine glutenfree Foodtour, eine Vegane oder vegetarische Foodtour oder eine ganz andere Tour. Egal, wenn ihr in Tokyo seid, lasst euch diese Gelegenheit nicht entgehen. Folks if you are in Tokyo this is definitely a must. In Teamlab Boderless we directly went to the tea house, ordered tea and ice cream each and have a look at these wonderful lighting effects. Then we looked at the different rooms and had a lot of fun. The whole day with Gizem was a real experience for me. I’ve had a couple of tours in Tokyo with guides, but none of them could match the Foodie Adventure Japan tour. It was like being with a friend, having fun and learning a lot about Tokyo instead a guided tour where the interpersonal is missing. I and you very likely will also have a lot of fun with her and I really recommend everyone to book a tour with her when they have the chance to do so.
