heute möchte ich euch von einem meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Mallow, Cork in Irland erzählen. Dort ist nicht nur das Essen sehr lecker, sondern ich mag die Atmosphäre auch sehr gerne. Ich spreche vom „The Arches“. „The Arches“ Ist eine Bar und ein Restaurant in einem. Man kann dort also nicht nur gut essen, sondern auch einfach mal nur etwas trinken gehen. Aber ihr solltet euch das Essen wirklich nicht entgehen lassen. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist, dass es dort glutenfreies Essen gibt. ich habe für euch mal die Speisekarte abfotografiert, damit ihr sehen könnt, was es dort zu essen gibt und welche Gerichte glutenfrei sind.

Today I want to tell you about one of my favorite restaurants in Mallow, Cork, Ireland. Not only is the food delicious there, but I also really like the atmosphere. I’m talking about „The Arches“. „The Arches“ is a bar and a restaurant in one. So you can not only eat well there, but also just go for a drink. But you really shouldn’t miss the food. Another plus is that they have gluten-free food. I took a photo of the menu for you so that you can see what there is to eat and which dishes are gluten-free.
Ich selber hatte als Vorspeise „BBG Spare Ribs“ und ich muss sagen, es waren wirklich die besten Spare Ribs die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Die Barbecue Soße war so lecker, dass ich davon nicht genug bekommen konnte. Es ist ein Hausrezept des Arches. ich habe noch nie so eine leckere BBQ Soße gegessen. Und das Fleisch war super zart und weich und ist fast schon alleine vom Knochen gefallen. Also perfekt zubereitet. Definitiv ein Tipp für euch. Das schöne war auch, das ein Schälchen mit Wasser dazu gereicht wurde, sodass man sich nach dem Essen die Hände waschen konnte.
I myself had “BBG Spare Ribs” as a starter and I have to say, it was really the best spare ribs I have eaten in a long time. The barbecue sauce was so delicious that I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s an Arches home recipe. I’ve never eaten such a delicious BBQ sauce. And the meat was super tender and soft and almost fell off the bone. So perfectly prepared. Definitely a tip for you. The nice thing was that a bowl of water was served so that you could wash your hands after dinner.
Als Hauptspeise hatte ich mir eine große Portion der „Buffalo Arches Wings“ bestellt. Ich wollte diese unbedingt probieren, denn ich kenne kaum ein Restaurant wo es glutenfrei Buffalo Wings gibt, viele Restaurants in Deutschland haben leider Gluten in ihrer Soße, deswegen habe ich mich umso mehr gefreut, dass „The Arches“ glutenfreie Buffalo Wings hat. Und auch diese waren sehr sehr lecker. Dies Spicy Cayenne Pfeffer Soße war auch sehr lecker, genauso wie die BBG Soße von den Rippchen. Auch diese ist bestimmt ein Hausrezept von „The Arches“ Es war wirklich ein Genuss im „The Arches“ zu essen und ich finde es toll, dass es so viele glutenfreie Optionen gibt. In Deutschland habe ich leider nicht so gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Ich selber liebe Fleisch, aber es gibt auch genug Gerichte auf der Karte, die für Vegetarier geeignet sind und auch davon sind welche glutenfreie.
For my main course I ordered a large portion of the „Buffalo Arches Wings“. I really wanted to try this, because I hardly know a restaurant that has gluten-free Buffalo Wings, unfortunately many restaurants in Germany have gluten in their sauce, so I was all the more pleased that “The Arches” has gluten-free Buffalo Wings. And these were also very, very tasty. The spicy cayenne pepper sauce was delicious too. This is definitely a house recipe from „The Arches“. It was really a pleasure to eat at „The Arches“ and I think it’s great that there are so many gluten-free options. Unfortunately, I haven’t had such good experiences in Germany. I love meat myself, but there are enough dishes on the menu that are suitable for vegetarians and some of them are gluten-free.
Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist definitiv die Atmosphäre, denn es hat das Flair eines Pubs mit dem eines Restaurants gemischt, was das Ganze sehr gemütlich macht. Es ist nicht so steif wie andere Restaurants, wo man sich nicht wirklich wohlfühlt und auch das Personal im „The Arches“ ist sehr freundlich.
Also, wenn ihr in Irland und in der Nähe von Mallow, Cork seid, schaut unbedingt vorbei.
Another plus point is definitely the atmosphere, because it mixed the flair of a pub with that of a restaurant, which makes the whole thing very cozy. It’s not as stiff as other restaurants where you don’t really feel at home and the staff at „The Arches“ is very friendly.
